— The Samurai: Honour And Pride —
Samurai warriors were the elite of four classes of Japanese feudal society; samurai, farmers, craftsmen, and then merchants. They were expected to bring security to the members of the other three classes. The term, samurai, is a derivative of the Japanese verb for service, “saburau”, and literally means “one who is a servant”, this is how they began, as ’servants’ to Emperor Tenmu back in the 7th century. Samurai were inspired by Bushido (Military-Knight-Ways) an unwritten code of moral principles which the knights (samurai) were required or instructed to observe. Bushido made the sword its emblem of power and prowess. The very possession of such an instrument imparts the carrier a feeling and an air of self-respect and responsibility. What he carries in his belt is a symbol of what he carries in his mind and heart – loyalty and honor. | |
— Gesshin — A tree branch came from Einherjar (Valhalla) when materialized what they strongly visualize in the user's mind. That is how the weapon Tetsujiro wants from Earth can be brought into the world of Valhalla. It can also change into a bow with unlimited arrows when Tetsujiro wants. This weapon only kills/cuts Einherjar or Heroes in Valhalla. |

— Souma-Ryu — In the closing years of the Heian Period... The Japanese swordsmanship, the Kyo Hachi-Ryu, was taught on Kuramayam. In the deepest part of the mountain, the enshrined Gohoumaou-Son passed down a sword art-- The Souma-Ryu. This blade which housed a demon king in it, was feard because it was said to be able to kill a huge Oni with a single blow. It is a "cursed blade" that slaughtered the Mongols one after another during The Mongol Invasion in Japan. The Souma-Ryu Technique:
The Essence of this technique is a strike that turns its opponent's strength against them. "The Bigger the enemy, the sharper it gets"... A hard blade that can cut down giants and a soft blade that can cut through things without form. Only by understanding both aspects of the blade can one truly master this sword art passed down from the Gods. |
