if you have not jumped on this car you should immediately. I would not be surprised if everyone that saw your post has already called the seller. This is a great deal if the car is as perfect as a 10k mile miata should be. advertised right this is a $10,000 plus car. Go buy it!!!!

If the mileage is not a typo and this car checks out, Wow!

If I needed another Miata, I wouldn't be here now, I'd be on a plane to Illinois.;)

if you have not jumped on this car you should immediately.

I wouldn't post it here if I could swing it. Maybe it flew under the radar and it will be something for someone. I'm over 90 miles away and no time to go see it. Last Labor day I bought a low mile 93LE to go with another 93LE DD. I have limited garage space. I collect guitars and I can get over 30 in a small room. Cars, well you know.

I'm anxious to hear a report on this one. You all know as much as I do. Thing is, with craigslist, I seldom search this Trading post. Hope it works out for someone.

Sold about two hours ago :(. Had already looked up the flight, would have been there at 11:00AM Wednesday but was couple hours too late. True mileage less than 10K (9800), like new from top to bottom, never wrecked, never painted. Current owner bought it from the original owners, an older couple, and they garage kept it and just seldom drove it.

Someone got a steal on this one! It's one I would have at least put down a deposit on site unseen and risked the airfare to go look at it.

Funny, he said around 3:00 today the calls started pouring in :D.

I just called; it is sold. Darn! I was ready to make a 5 hour drive tomorrow to check it out.

Did anyone here get it?

Funny thing, a BRG would be my next choice after the LE. I already have a near new LE I just look at and my DD LE would have to sit out and I wouldn't do that. I buy and sell guitars, or flip, as you say here. I can store a guitar easily and usually have a better margin on resell. If I had seen the ad this weekend I would have driven down to see it, but I did install a MSSS in my DD! Sounds like an 11K car to me. Fall of 10 I looked at a 1990 Silverstone with 38K and aftermarket HT at a new car dealer asking 4K. I was driving a red 93. The silver didn't do much for me guess I was looking for a silver 356. Stayed tuned I will turn up another one.

I would think some who reads this got it. Hope they post their good news.

Where's Frank at?? :) :)

Of course I called on it, was next in line to the guy who gave him the $100 deposit. I said that if he hemmed or hawed, and or vacillated one iota, I would buy it. Guy from Illinois bought it I guess, a local, probably from this forum.

This was a really nice one that got away, one of the few I am envious of. I would have kept it too, really!

You're probably right. That car needed a buyer to really appreciate their good fortune, I wonder if it did?

Maybe Frank and I would have met in the Bloomington-Normal airport and had a duel to see who gets the car. He's a lot younger than me and in better shape but I'm crafty and I cheat ;). Really, really hope this car went to a forum member whether it's going to be a daily driver or a museum piece. These types of deals happen once every few years and I'd shudder to think someone bought it was a first car for their 16 year old :(

Anyone else notice that the ad was posted on the 19th? It sat for an entire week before being posted here.

With craigslist places like tradin post and your newspaper classifieds aren't the best place to post a FS ad. I'm sure he received little to no interest until yesterday -then boom - phone ringing off the hook.

Yes, but it shows that everyone is searching C-list, e-bay, cars.com, etc. Buyers should be sure to keep an eye on their local not so well known sites as well, you'll be competing against a much smaller number of "sharks" How often do we see posts from people looking for cars, they find something on C-list 18K miles away for a decent price and it's gone before they can decide if it's worth trying to buy a plane ticket. There's still a lot of low mile Miatas out there hiding in people's garages and a lot of sellers using KBB as a pricing guide. Don't think you need to fly to the Southwest to find one when it might be right under your nose, you just have to look for it.

And then buy it instead of asking us "Is this a good deal?" :D

I scan the obituaries and then cold call a day or two after the funeral.......I kid I kid. :)

That's funny, I hang out at the Old Folk's Home and pigeon-hole the family just as the hearse pulls up. Frank cuts me in on a piece of the action for every Miata stolen, er, I mean bought :O...

Frank,

Actually, you were second in line behind the guy who gave the deposit :p as I called on it as soon as it was posted  Told the guy to expect his phone to be ringing off the hook, he then told me I was just caller #2 and #1 gave him the deposit. Maybe a line and it ends up being relisted in a few weeks for 3-4K more :dunno: .Granted, you are closer to Newark International than I am (what does it take you, like 20 minutes with traffic :D ) these days..........

It's not blue, but I hope it gets relisted. The folks that are able to act fast, deserve to get paid for their "services."

I might be interested in this one, if and when it gets relisted. I'll just have to own two, when I finally get my blue NA. :jump:

You're making a point that nearly everyone with half a brain thinks about all the time, namely, where else can I look? I hone in on many different places, but they're eventually discovered, and rummaged through, like the salvation army stores.

Now now, your wife wants a Laguna Blue one, I believe she specifically stated no red, yellow, orange, silver, or GREEN Miatas wanted

Frank,

Remember the days when you and I only had the Sunday Star ledger, Philadelphia Inquirer, and NJ Want Ad Press (if you were lucky, you could find it out on the news stand the night before it was supposed to be on display). Hemming Motor News (getting it Fed Ex'd to beat out the competition)....Yes, those where the old days.
